Glossybox July 2017

This month's Glossybox was sooo eagerly anticipated! After having a lil sneak preview of what was going to be inside my box, I couldn't wait to get my hands on it!

The box design for this month was stunning. The embossed gold on the coral-y pink background is just 😍

On opening the box, I was faced with an array of goodies - I didn't know where to start first! Reading the info leaflet that came with it made me so excited to try all the products.

Before I even touched any of the products, something smelled INCREDIBLE and it turned out to be this bad boy. Everything in the box had somehow been scented with the deliciousness of this amazing hair product. It blew my mind. It's a cleansing conditioner, which is fab as most 2-in-1 type products for hair seem to be more shampoo-based with less conditioning qualities. Elgon really did well here, it left my hair feeling so soft and it definitely saves a few precious minutes in the morning! I'll definitely look into more of Elgon's product range; I'd never heard of them until now!

I am pretty lazy when it comes to day-to-day hairstyling. Partly because I am rubbish at hair, partly because I work in healthcare so my hair always needs to be up. I've tried some of these spiral hairbands before from other brands, and didn't like them as they didn't seem to grip hair tight enough to hold a ponytail. HOWEVER, I am pretty impressed with these! To start with I thought they were too stiff to hold my hair as it's quite thick, but they worked wonders! Also fab because they don't damage hair like normal hairbands can. I will definitely be using these on a regular basis.

This is probably the product I was most excited to receive! It's the Spectrum A10 fan brush and it is GLORIOUS. It's super soft and is an absolute joy to apply highlight with. You can use it with powder to set your base too, but I love to sweep some shine over my cheekbones and other high points on my face with it. I absolutely adore the colours in this brush too! The fact that the bristles are cruelty-free is another bonus. I haven't owned any brushes by Spectrum before, but I'll certainly be extending my range!

I've heard a fair bit about banana powder lately but I never really got the hype. Until now. It's a really finely milled, yellow-toned powder which sets my base really nicely. I love that the shade of this powder helps to counteract redness and dark circles - two of my main issues! I don't bake my make-up, so I can't comment on it's baking power but it works as a setting powder really well for me. I'm not sure if it'll replace my normal powder (Rimmel Match Perfection) full time as this banana powder by BellaPierre does come with a fairly hefty price tag (for me at least!) but I'll definitely enjoy it while it lasts!

Last up is this after sun lotion from Monu Professional Skincare. I've already been on my summer holiday for the year (and I've been a bit of a hermit for the rest of the summer so far!) so it's a shame I didn't find this sooner. It's a really lovely formula and it absorbs super easily, which I love as I can't stand the feeling of product sitting on my skin. It smells great too, I'm just disappointed I didn't have it for my holiday as I'm not sure how much I'll get to use it for it's actual purpose. I'll definitely use it as an average body moisturiser though. As I'm such a fan of the formula, I'll have to look into the rest of their range to see what else they have to offer.

I really loved this month's Glossybox! I haven't received a single product yet that I haven't liked, which is impressive as I can be super picky! Come back next month for another Glossybox review.

Love,
Samantha x
