Birchbox - June 2017 Review

I'm a new subscriber to Birchbox and I've just received my first one! Birchbox are a monthly subscription service who send you a box of beauty-related goodies each month and they're tailored to your own beauty profile.

This month I received the following products:

Scrub Love - Hydrating Coconut Oil Body Scrub in 'Coconut Mango'

I loooove that all of the ingredients in this product are natural, the majority of them being coconut based. It smells INCREDIBLE, I come out of the shower smelling mega fruity and my skin is sooo soft. For a scrub it's actually really hydrating too, probably due to the mango butter, macadamia oil and coconut oil. Will definitely look at purchasing more!

'COWSHED' Cow Pat Moisturising Hand Cream

I'm really rubbish at remembering to apply hand cream (even though I have them coming out of my ears) but this one has made it's way into my handbag since I first used it. It absorbs really easily which I love as I can't stand greasy feeling fingers!! And it smells super fruity which is a big bonus. I don't know if it's down to this cream, but my nails have also been a lot better since using this. Interesting!

Meech and Mia Browliner '#022'

I really like this eyebrow pencil, and I'm pretty fussy when it comes to products for brows. If you've read my previous post on my eyebrow horrors, you'll know I need all the help I can get when it comes to brows! However, this lovely little pencil is suuuper creamy so it doesn't leave any harsh lines, and the clever people at Birchbox gave me the perfect colour match! It's not too warm toned which is fab.

Arrow Enhance Waterproof Eyeliner in 'Bright Now'

I'm all for honesty, and this wasn't really my fave product in the world. I don't actually own another pale pink eyeliner so I was quite excited to receive this as I know it can be used on the lower waterline to widen eyes and make you look a bit more with it. However, I was disappointed when I applied it and it came out really chunky. It almost went into clumps on my lower waterline and made me look like I had conjunctivitis as it was SO gunky! Maybe I'll give it another go further down the line but I'm not a huge fan.

Estée Lauder Nutritious Micro-Algae

This might have been pretty good and my skin did seem to like it, but it's SUCH a tiny sample, I didn't get to use it for any length of time before it was empty. I have oily, porous skin and this cleansing jelly definitely did leave my skin looking and feeling super clean. I can't comment on whether or not it did anything for my pores which is a shame, but it did seem to take some of the redness out of my skin which was lovely. I wouldn't say no to trying it again, for sure.

Ciaté London Bamboo Bronzer in 'Star Island'

I have been pretty loyal to Benefit's 'Hoola' over the years but this super pretty bronzer is giving it a run for it's money! I love that it's very cool toned, as I'm a pretty pale gal myself but it still warms up my face nicely. I'd also never heard of Ciaté before receiving this from Birchbox, but I'll definitely look into some more of their products as I am so impressed with this bronzer. I'd also like to point out that this was a free gift as it was my first month with Birchbox.

So there you have it! Totally honest reviews on my first month with Birchbox, and overall I was impressed! If you lovely lot like reading these reviews, let me know and I will do them each month. Thanks for reading!
